What is smile correction?
Smile correction isn’t one procedure — it’s a plan. How orthodontic, cosmetic and restorative care come together.

“Smile correction” describes any treatment aimed at improving how your smile looks and works. Rather than being a single procedure, it’s a personalised plan that may draw on several areas of dentistry.
Common concerns
- Gaps between teeth
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Uneven, chipped or worn edges
- Teeth that look too long, too short or out of proportion
- Missing teeth
The building blocks
Orthodontics — braces or clear aligners — moves teeth into better positions. Cosmetic treatments such as tooth-coloured bonding or reshaping refine shape and proportion. Restorative treatments such as crowns, bridges or implants repair or replace damaged and missing teeth.
Why the order matters
Often, aligning the teeth first means less needs to be done to the teeth themselves later. An orthodontic perspective can make the overall plan more conservative, while still achieving a natural-looking result.
